Diseño y desarrollo web
OPENTIA cuenta con profesionales que se formaron en el uso y desarrollo de Internet en 1990 cuando "La Red de Redes" aún era un reducido reducto científico y universitario. De hecho, hasta hace poco ha pervivido una de las webs realizadas en la primera mitad de la década de los '90 y que con orgullo de preservación histórica han mantenido su estructura original en sus primitivas pero rupturistas primeras versiones del estándar HTML.
Por supuesto, la oferta para Internet de OPENTIA, ha evolucionado desde aquellos orígenes tan esquemáticos hacia conceptos mucho más ricos y avanzados como la web semántica, el posicionamiento avanzado en buscadores, la colaboración, la multiculturalidad y el multilingüismo, las redes sociales o comunidades, los gestores de contenidos y de conocimiento, las magnitudes de petabytes, los estándares como XML, XHTML, CSS, OpenDocument, y un largo etc.
Así, en la oferta de OPENTIA se distinguen dos tipos de soluciones web:

- Desarrollo web avanzado a medida: soluciones realizadas a medida, con una alta personalización y unas capacidades funcionales superiores. Generalmente se basan en potentes herramientas como Django, Liferay, Magento, Prestashop, Spree, Drupal, etc.
- Portales de alta rentabilidad: portales de bajo coste y rápida implementación que denominamos "Web Rápida y Rentable" (RyR), que generalmente la basamos en adaptaciones propias de plataformas tecnológicas como Drupal, Joomla!, WikiDot, Wordpress, etc.
Ambas opciones tienen la ventaja de ofrecer unas altas prestaciones en cuanto a indexación en los principales buscadores del mercado (SEO para Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc.) para con ello atraer el máximo posible de visitas cualificadas a su web.
Todas nuestras sluciones pueden contar con diseños gráficos propios elaborados a medida por nuestro equipo. De hecho, en muchos casos también hemos provisto la creación de la imagen corporativa y, por tanto, de los logotipos de dichos clientes o productos. Portal oficial de la patronal andaluza de software libre ANDALIBRE, evento impulsado por la comunidad del Software Libre para todos: usuarios, empresas y entidades públicas. ASOLIF, la federación nacional de empresas de Software Libre, y Andalibre, la patronal andaluza, representantes ambas de más de 200 empresas tecnológicas de toda España, conjuntamente con el Ayuntamiento de Málaga y en colaboración con otras entidades van a convertir por un día a la capital de la Costa del Sol en el epicentro mundial del software libre comercial.

Web Oficial del evento internacional ODF Plugfest. La histórica capital andaluza ha sido elegida para celebrar la tercera edición del congreso mundial ODF Plugfest, que tendrá lugar del 15 al 17 de abril en la Universidad de Granada organizado por NOiV del Gobierno de Holanda, Fedict del Gobierno de Bélgica, CENATIC (Centro Nacional de Referencia de Aplicación de las Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación basadas en Fuentes Abiertas), la empresa especializada en interoperabilidad OPENTIA, y la Universidad de Granada, bajo el amparo del comité de estandarización ODF de OASIS.

 La web recibió más de 100.000 visitas en 4 meses, soportó al final de la misma el enlace (efecto “Slashdot”) a la vez de los periódicos El País y El Mundo, además de los los populosos portales comunitarios Barrapunto y Meneame. Cumple estrictamente con los estándares web de la W3C y se encuentra indexada segunda en Google para dos términos extremadamente competidos (compitiendo y venciendo a la mismísima Microsoft en su acaparación) con más de 4 millones de entradas cada uno. Portal comunitario del Proyecto Estándares Abiertos dedicado a la interoperabilidad informática. El sitio, referencia mundial en idioma español para los estándares abiertos y la interoperabilidad informática, ha recibido más de un millón de visitas en los últimos tres años y es sido repetidamente enlazado por los grandes medios de prensa y portales comunitarios. La web es primera en el buscador Google sobre casi 400.000 entradas cuando se consulta por el muy competido término “estándares abiertos”, superando incluso a las entradas de la Wikipedia.

Free Software
OPENTIA has been developing and releasing software from the foundation of the operations of its first professionals during the mid 80s. After that, and since the early 90s its staff has been a pioneer in the adoption of free software GNU, Linux, Internet development, web development as well as, systems administration and complex LAN and WAN network systems.
From the beginnings of the nineties to 2009 has been alive the first web made completelly with free software by OPENTIA for the Polytechnic University Madrid (the old web site of Photonic Technology Department). Since then, we have used free Web content management systems such as Liferay, Django, Drupal, Joomla, Magento, Wordpress, etc., and other technologies. There are a lot of free software dedicated to provide our customers solutions not based on technological lock-in, but in the pure freedom of choice and loyalty of good practice.
